Sr. Product Manager – Azure Autonomous Driving Platform  
   

Autonomous vehicle development is both hugely exciting and intensely computationally challenging with workflows that are rely on traditional compute as well as breakthrough in AI and Computer vision that allow more and more accurate perception, planning and execution within the vehicle. At Azure, we are excited about enabling an integrated platform that accelerates the development of Autonomous Vehicles for our customers worldwide based on the best SW services and workload optimized cloud infrastructure. The Azure Autonomous Driving compute team drives the hardware roadmap, software and services that enable our users to run their autonomous workflows in Azure. At this critical juncture, we are looking for Sr. Product manager to be part of our team

Responsibilities

 

A Sr. Product Manager will work with customers and partners to understand, document, & capture the requirements of the end-to-end workflow. They would be responsible for translating these requirements into product features and integrating them into our roadmap. You will also be responsible for identifying the next technical challenge that Microsoft will solve and developing a competitive solution while working with teams across Microsoft and the broader ecosystem. A leader is this space will have a passion for automotive and a desire to contribute to the largest industrial digital transformation ever! 
 

A successful candidate would have some experience in embedded systems domain across the AD/ADAS development and validation workflow. It is critical for this candidate to have or to be able to develop long term relationships with stakeholders at key customers.  

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in autonomous driving or Computer vision 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields OR equivalent industry experience
  • Familiarity with open loop validation/sensor reprocessing, simulation (both perception & post-perception), and workload integration requirements with MLOps & DevOps pipelines. A solid understanding of commonly utilized software tools used for validation and testing is a strong plus. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical ability 
  • Ability to work across multiple organizations and proven track record of being able to collaborate with both partners and customers. 
  • Understanding of evolving training/deep learning methodologies (E.g., population-based training) & ability to capture requirements for running cost-performance jobs across multiple silicon alternatives. 

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
