We are looking for an experienced Sr Product Manager to drive a new SaaS NGINX solution. We're looking for individuals that have developed solutions using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including building software and requirements for implementation, stability, and scaling of the solution within Azure. We are looking for someone who understands and values the full SDLC of modern Agile software development, including requirements gathering, planning, road mapping, development team management, user testing, and proactive client communications. The candidate balances of future vision, near term opportunities, customer requirements, business acumen, and management of day-to-day product issues. The candidate will engage with executives, business partners, channel, and end users and must be comfortable with frequent multi-tasking among technical, business, strategic, marketing and planning activities.

 

What will you be doing:

  • Developing requirements using a balance of future vision, near term opportunities, customer requirements, business insight, and management of day-to-day product issues.
  • Working collaboratively, driving strategic alignment across the organization, you will lead one or more products’ lifecycles from definition and introduction to end-of-life.
  • Perform proactive market analyses, using inputs such as: customer calls/visits, partner feedback, analyst research, industry trends, field feedback, services, win/loss analysis, competitive analysis. Identify challenges that developers and operations teams face as their applications and services scale.
  • Plan and document product requirements, and be responsible for the product roadmap.
  • Work with Product Development to build a detailed product delivery roadmap, and support the Agile/Scrum processes as Product Owner.
  • Partner with marketing, services, and sales to deliver product releases to market. Engaging with executives, business partners, product development, channel, and end-users.
  • Create and deliver outreach and training for internal and external partners, acting as a key evangelist for your strategies.

 

What knowledge, skills and abilities do I need:

  • Familiarity with modern application development, especially microservices, mobile apps, and single page apps.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure: resource groups, environments, traffic management.
  • Good knowledge HTTP-based APIs of all kinds, from SOAP/XML to JSON/REST, as well as gRPC, GraphQL, etc.
  • Experiecne with web and Internet technologies, from DNS to HTTP and TLS, etc.
  • Knowledge or experience with enterprise application delivery environments and web acceleration technologies, such as load balancing, proxying, caching, and compression.
  • Technical knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of how organizations build and operate modern applications, including knowledge of DevOps, Containers, CI/CD, application servers/runtimes, and/or Cloud tools/ecosystems.
  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to listen, organize and champion key initiatives and projects for product development.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and persuasion skills with an ability to articulate complex technology and business benefits clearly.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time, including international travel.

 

What qualifications are necessary:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Related experience could include, but is not limited to: experience analyzing products, customers and market dynamics; as a Product Owner, working with Agile Scrum teams; in a practical role, building or operating applications and services; etc.
