We’re looking for a technically strong and market-focused Senior Product Manager to lead the design and delivery of our next-generation, environmental-commodity registry and portfolio-management platform. This role reports directly to the Head of XRegistries and will work closely with the commercial and software engineering teams to design and deliver our multi-asset registry platform; create new, differentiated ESG assets; and define the specifications for tradable, differentiated commodity products. The Senior Product Manager will serve as the primary facilitator for managing requirements for our large-scale software platform, communicating with customers and partners to incorporate their feedback into product specifications.

The Senior Product Manager will lead and coordinate the creation of required documentation from a wide variety of stakeholders, working with the Engineering team to ensure requirements are implemented successfully. Successful candidates will know how to deliver enterprise applications. They must also have a thorough understanding of commodity markets.

We work with a diverse technology stack from DAML, Scala, Blockchain, React, and Postgres. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is responsible for shaping how environmental commodities are traded for a better world.

Responsibilities

- Help define, execute against, and bring to market the product roadmap for our offerings.

- Communicate cross-functionally across business units to gather and document requirements by soliciting information from appropriate product stakeholders.

- Conduct research to identify customer needs and market gaps—know the customer, solicit feature requests, and manage them into product planning and execution.

- Develop detailed product specifications including user stories, use cases, process diagrams, and acceptance criteria. 

- Collaborate and build strong relationships with other product managers and business stakeholders, as well as data science, analyst, and engineering teams to ensure coordination and completion of various responsible products.

- Measure and monitor appropriate KPIs that will gauge performance and allow the product, design, and engineering teams to identify levers to iterate on the product.

- Maintain a working knowledge of the core system technologies and a broad understanding of company systems/platform technologies. 

- Partner with leadership and build consensus on solutions.

- Manage initiative communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and all needs are aligned. 

- Provide transparency on backlogs, sprints, milestones, etc. to all stakeholders.

- Provide insight into technical abilities and external teams’ schedules, and coordinate internal and external resources for successful delivery of initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree; MBA is a plus

- 5+ years previous experience in a B2B product technology company as a product manager

- Previous demonstrative success in a pre-product-market-fit software technology company

- Managed a product portfolio overseeing the entire product lifecycle

- Experience in one or more: data platforms, commodity markets, energy markets, oil & gas production

- Efficient and effective requirements writer, leveraging the right documentation elements to effectively communicate requirements to a cross-functional team

- Exceptional customer relationship skills, including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions

- Highly organized and able to manage a portfolio of projects to success 

- Possessing an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Comfortable working in ambiguous or loosely defined environments

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of data-product management or relevant audience data experience, preferably within global commodities

- Background working in banking, trading, clearing, or related industry preferred

- Experience in multi-party workflow applications 

- Knowledge of insights/analytics; SaaS and/or data product offerings 

- Experience with delivering large scale data-driven enterprise applications using big data technologies
