Technical Product Manager II (Program Manager)
Expedia The Lodging Shopping team is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager II to define and drive new features for our award-winning family of interactive travel products. Our team is within the broader Lodging Technology group that drives Expedia's hotel business. Our services are designed to handle millions of transactions a day and run in a real-time 24x7 environment so robustness, scalability, reliability and high performance are critical. We work behind the scenes to make these transactions possible. This job requires distilling business requirements to figure out project scope, translating project objectives into website functionality, driving the project through development and launch, and monitoring the changes post-launch. Passion for technology is essential to a technical product manager's success, but here at Expedia we also look for people who are excited about applying that passion to address complex business issues. Having the ability to understand the needs of Expedia as a business, the customer, the supplier, and the implications on the underlying technology, and be able to translate these needs into new services.
