As the Technical Product Manager, you will be the product and business owner responsible for all aspects of those services. You will work with our talented engineering team to plan and deliver world-class products and services used globally by Software Distributors, Re-sellers, Telecommunication Giants, and Hosters, as well as internal needs.

Because of the technical nature of this role, it provides an ideal opportunity for a person with prior experience as a software developer or tester that has recently transitioned to Product Management, or is looking to make that change.

This position reports to either the Senior Director of Product Management for Migrations, Backup or Platform Services respectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop detailed knowledge of specific market segments, target customers, and SkyKick products.
• Define and deliver the go-to-market plan and enablement, ensuring that key internal and external stakeholders have what they need to be successful.
• Serve as the Product Owner, including defining, delivering and managing the product and business metrics, as well as the product backlog - writing stories, epics and features.
• Collaborate with the Design team on user experience.
• Help drive sales by enabling business development and sales teams, lead calls and in-person external executive engagements with key customers, create tools to support their success, and help to identify opportunities to increase that success.
• Develop and foster key cross-functional relationships across SkyKick’s Product, Engineering, Support, Marketing, and Sales teams.
• Partner closely with the Senior Director of Product Management and other members of the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have most or all the following:

• Demonstrated leadership & passion, a history of accomplishments, willingness to learn, and is a team player.
• A technical degree and/or demonstrated technical knowledge, including a full understanding of the definition and function of APIs, n-tier architectures, services-at-scale, etc.
• 1-3 years of consumer or enterprise software product management experience, ideally at a mid-to-large software company, and likely with Cloud Services/SaaS.
• Experience with Agile Methods, particularly Scrum.
• Business Management experience – creating and tracking KPIs against business objectives for a product suite
• Proven ability to interact with and present to senior executives, customers, etc.
