ACP SOHO Strategic Alliance Manager
The SOHO (Small Office Home Office) Strategic Account Manager position in Business Development will be an integral member of a team tasked with helping to solve one of Avalara's leading product/growth initiatives: dramatically growing Avalara’s product and services through indirect sales channels focused on SOHO Partners for QUICKBOOKS. The SOHO Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing partner channel strategies, executing marketing programs and working cross functionally with product managers, and marketing managers, to identify revenue growth opportunities and investments in order to drive revenue and facilitate sales through assigned partners. This person will provide world-class support to deliver on our goal of revitalizing and selling through the Intuit QuickBooks Advisors Channel.
Job Duties
- Work between channel partners and our marketing team to get programs set up to promote Avalara’s products for Quickbooks focused at the Pro Advisor Community.
- Develop and Implement a world class channel program focused on the Quickbooks Advisor Community.
- Deeply understand assigned partners’ business model and how we can work within those parameters to in service to developing durable relationships, execution of joint marketing activities to drive sales and revenue.
- Create strong relationships with new and old partners in the Intuit Ecosystem for loyalty and co marketing promotions
- Work with partners on all customer service levels, you are their “A Team” dedicated contact
- Travel to tradeshows, roadshows, sales trainings and partner visits (1-2x per month)
- Work in a dynamic environment and be flexible
Qualifications
- 4+ years channel, account management or sales experience
- Prior experience in the development and the delivery of multi-faceted channel programs at scale.
- An ability to acclimate to a fast paced, ever changing work environment
- Ability to work and talk with C level executives
- A passion for working with people and establishing solid long term relationships
- A hunter’s mentality
- The motivation to learn and constantly refine tools and process
- You might also have:
- Salesforce experience
- Sales/Marketing experience
- An interest in research and projects
Softer qualifications second (e.g. great communication, problem solving, leadership, etc)
- Open communication style and not afraid to ask questions or give opinions
- Major problem solving skills and ability to think on your feet
