Project Manager Job Description

SpecterOps is looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a single client with multiple security consulting and internal corporate projects concurrently through initiation, tracking and completion.

SpecterOps is a fast growing security startup focused on helping customers defeat advanced adversaries though simulation, resilience and detection services and technology development. This position will include management of customer security engagements and internal company efforts.

A successful candidate will have excellent business acumen and be passionate about working in a fast-growing company, helping to build great delivery capabilities. In addition, they will be a well-organized, self-directed individual with familiarity working for a service-based organization. Experience working in the cyber security industry a plus, but not required.

Location: This position is remote, based in the U.S. with optional travel quarterly for in person company events and other ad hoc meetings.

Salary Range: $85,000-$130,000 base salary annually, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Overall project set-up to include the resource assignment, establishing project repositories, assembling all required documentation, and defining milestone schedules.
  • Ordering, deployment support and collection of technology required to support consulting projects.
  • Proactive tracking and approvals of project hours, financial metrics and expenses.
  • Coordination and preparation for internal and customer facing meetings.
  • Identify, document, and track project issues and risks.
  • Prepare project planning documents for project execution.
  • Prepare and deliver status reports to customer and internally to service line leads.
  • Conduct QA review of project reports and deliverables.
  • Collect and document final deliverables, lessons learned, and ideas for continuous improvement as the projects proceed.
  • Assist account managers in customer relationship management and advocacy 
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys to receive feedback on project performance.
  • Develop process and procedures to drive continuous improvement in project management capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Project Coordination / Management experience in a consulting environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated skills in multitasking, time management & organization to effectively engage and contribute to multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing and analyzing metrics and financials in a consulting or technical environment
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to follow provided information security protocols
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; we do not currently sponsor immigration visas
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Covid vaccination and provide documentation

Above and Beyond:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, communications, or technical field
  • Demonstrated experience in account management
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Experience supporting security projects (i.e penetration testing, red team operations, compromise assessments)
  • Previous management experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • Experience with customer management, project management and financial management systems
  • Ability to travel 25%
