About the Role:

"Customers are King! The Customer Onboarding team's mission is to provide the best onboarding experience for our customers. The Onboarding team is responsible for building and delivering a world-class onboarding program that equips our Customer Success team with the right skills and processes to understand our clients and their desired outcomes with PitchBook. We believe successful Onboarding will lead PitchBook to be an integral part of our clients' growing businesses for years to come.

The PitchBook Onboarding team is looking for a forward-thinking, creative, and strategic Onboarding Specialist. This person will focus on redefining consistent, scalable, and measurable processes related to the initial phase of a client's journey with PitchBook. A strong emphasis will be put on ensuring workflows are adopted by our global Customer Success team. This role requires a strong balance of creativity and refined execution, so we are looking for a candidate eager to experiment, explore new tactics, and continually improve our ability to understand and connect with our clients.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Has an appreciation for the PE / VC marketplace and the ability to learn, comprehend, and demonstrate why and how each of our client types engages with our product and our data;
• Makes it their mission to ensure PitchBook's clients have the best onboarding experience;
• Ensures that our onboarding process is consistent, scalable and adopted by our global CS team;
• Partner with other teams to further improve the customer onboarding experience (Customer Marketing, Sales, Product and Operations);
• Identifies critical data points and metrics our CS team needs to procure from a new customer to help them achieve their goals using PitchBook;
• Thinks critically on how each of our different client types can drive the most long-term value from the product and surfaces these findings to the broader team for training on best practices;
• Assist in the overall data integrity of our internal CRMs;
• Develop relationships with Customer Success counterparts to gather relevant, widespread feedback and crucial insights in order to iterate on program details and outcomes;
• Can create internal and external content for our clients and Customer Success team, such as an onboarding guide, email copy, and talk tracks;
• Contribute to educational content for use with Onboarding, the Customer Help Center, and on-going customer education.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of B2B SaaS and/or software experience
• PE/VC experience is a plus
• Previous onboarding experience is a plus
• Successful history of customer first, result-orientation and ownership
• Self-starter attitude, empathetic, positive and motivated to improve processes.
• Creative and innovative – we're a nimble team, and that means we can be creative and experiment while having fun and providing for our customers.
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Experience working in a CRM
