Description
As the Director of Agile Program Management, you will lead efforts to drive the creation and execution of a value-driven program methodology and delivery strategy that achieves the strategic goals of the organization and the enterprise. As a skilled collaborator across cross-functional teams , you will install and orchestrate proven delivery approaches that embrace predictable, repeatable, and sustainable agile ways of working.
The ideal candidate will be able to articulate the overall vision and program delivery strategy to their executive peers, as well as communicate the required steps to reach the desired end state. You will be outcome-focused and possess the ability to adjust on the fly to the changing realities of the delivery teams. In addition, you'll employ a confident executive presence that provides transparency of progress and impediments to leadership and stakeholders through meaningful metrics.
Responsibilities

  • Assess the business goals and challenges to generate an outcomes-based end state vision for the organization broken into measurable milestones
  • Partner with Product Managers, stakeholders, and Engineering leadership to elevate our ability to build and maintain roadmaps with a sustainable delivery cadence and meaningful metrics
  • Develop delivery plans that are outcome oriented, measurable, actionable, lightweight, and reflect a deep understanding of the Agile approach
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to establish consistent metrics and KPIs for measuring progress and effectiveness at team, product, and organizational levels
  • Utilize metrics to be able to identify areas to improve delivery performance
  • Evaluate, educate, and elevate our team's agile practices through education and hands on coaching
  • Act as change agent and evangelist to influence the adoption of agile mindset and practice both within IT teams and their partner business analytics teams
  • Provide specific expert guidance and coaching in areas of specialty, e.g. engineering practices, product ownership and definition, Scrum Master, Scrum framework, SAFe, scaling techniques, etc.
  • Provide leadership to guide the investment in tools and processes that promote efficiencies and transparency to the organization
  • Mentor teams, individuals, and leadership beyond the agile processes, educating them on how to think with an agile mindset, discovering fresh practices, innovating new ways to collaborate, and to "be" agile
  • Create an environment that meaningfully values and promotes inclusivity, equity, autonomy, skill mastery, empowerment, transparency, innovation, and learning

  • Agile Scaling Frameworks
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing large, complex Agile teams in a results-driven environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading and coaching agile practices
  • 8+ years of experience working in engineering, IT, or a related field
  • Substantial experience with delivery methodologies in a fast-paced complex environment - Scrum, SAFe, Extreme Programming
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams
  • Expert level project/program management skills. Lean process design experience preferred
  • Proven track record of being results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
