Groupon is looking for a talent development program manager to drive onboarding, mentoring, and leadership programs for Groupon’s Engineering organization. We are looking for a passionate problem solver with superb project management skills; a relationship-building expert with experience in partnering with engineering leadership to build innovative onboarding, mentoring, and leadership development programs.

Responsibilities

• Drive global Engineering Talent Development initiatives as part of the larger multi-year talent strategy.
• Manage a comprehensive project dashboard for all major engineering talent development programs; drive completion of tasks and building of peer learning, mentoring, and leadership programs.
• Collaborate with leaders in global Engineering Development Centers (Palo Alto, San Francisco, Chicago, Dublin Irland, Berlin Germany and Bangalore India) to establish local onboarding programs; work closely with engineering leadership to develop a curriculum for engineering onboarding.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and HR to determine training needs; observe managerial and leadership behaviors to make recommendations; study engagement results; confer and work with key Engineering executives and HR to support and drive HR initiatives.
• Maximize training effectiveness by contributing to content creation and employing innovative methodologies to deliver content via our online platform Saba, live and blended learning, in-person workshops, multimedia products, and peer learning programs.
• Work closely with the global Talent Development and HR Teams to share best practices and improve training methodology
• Provide feedback against learning objectives; Assess/test to measure knowledge transfer and report on findings.
• Handle all logistical arrangements, room set up, managing rosters, instructor scheduling, reporting on completion, and sending reminders to participants.
• Support Talent Development and HR cyclical processes (including but not limited to communication and reporting requests related to performance review or succession planning)

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or higher in related field or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in learning & development, consulting, project management, organization development or another related field
• Self-starter, fast learner, adaptive to a fast-paced working environment
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Superb judgment with the ability to make decisions and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
• Obsession with understanding and meeting the needs of the Engineering career and talent development
