We are one of the main reasons it’s possible to text with a business today. Zipwhip was the first company to enable texting on existing business phone numbers, and we are now the world’s leading business-texting software and API provider. More than 35,000 companies use us to increase customer engagement and drive growth through texting on their existing landline, VoIP or toll-free phone number. Intuitive cloud-based software, an enterprise-grade API and direct network connectivity mean businesses can use any computer or mobile device to securely and reliably reach their customers, every time.

Our strong venture backing allows us to aggressively invest in our product, technology and team; we’ve received nearly $100 million in funding from the likes of Goldman Sachs, M12 (Microsoft Ventures) and OpenView. We are consistently ranked one of Washington’s fastest-growing workplaces, and were voted the 6th best place to work in the state by Seattle Business magazine and The Puget Sound Business Journal in 2019.

Every day we work to uphold our core DIRECT values: Determination, Innovation, Respect, Enthusiasm, Collaboration and Trust. We know that we’ll build better products if we have a diverse and inspired team that’s encouraged to make mistakes and experiment.

If you want to be part of a team where you’re supported and empowered to change the way the world communicates, then we’d love to hear from you.

How this role makes and impact:

We're looking for a self-motivated, self-directed, and client-facing implementation consultant to help guide successful deployments of Zipwhip with our enterprise clients. You will document how Zipwhip business texting is folded into existing client processes, coordinate the setup of Zipwhip, conduct testing, and ensure smooth handoff both internally and externally. Ideal candidates have a wide breadth of experience, have demonstrated a high aptitude for learning and mastering new subjects, and are not shy at tackling problems with a high degree of ambiguity. Implementation consultants will be successful by ensuring clients have smooth launches of Zipwhip and have maximum adoption of our offering.

What you'll be working on:

  • Assisting customers throughout their implementation of Zipwhip.
  • Participating in client workshops by taking clear and concise notes and documenting action items.
  • Documenting & presenting the client’s future state processes with business texting focusing on Zipwhip’s best practices.
  • Owning and coordinating deliverables for customer engagements, quality assurance workstreams, and client data accuracy.
  • Delivering change management materials and activities, including coordinating with client & Zipwhip teams.
  • Coordinating status updates with cross-functional teams and updating project plans.
  • Driving user acceptance of Zipwhip through formal or informal testing as required.
  • Organizaing smooth hand-off to Customer Success & Support as necessary.
  • Becoming an expert and a resource to customers on Zipwhip applications, functionalities, and capabilities.
  • Supporting the enterprise sales team as needed including needs for active account maintenance and new account rollout.
  • Assisting on continuous maturing of Zipwhip’s implementation processes and tools.

The skills you'll need:

  • 3+ years of experience with customer facing enterprise SaaS implementations, and understanding of business process management.
  • Prior experience as a Customer Implementation manager or Enterprise Customer facing role where you directly managed client projects including onboarding, trainings, etc.
  • Experience working across teams in a high-pressure environment, while prioritizing multiple timelines and competing goals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Product Management & Engineering organizational functions.
  • Strong analytical acumen and excellent documentation skills.
  • An excellent customer presence, including presenting Zipwhip’s POV, building credibility by guiding them through the business texting journey, and engaging them with thoughtful questions and proactive information.
  • Experience producing first-draft documents with minimal direction and sometimes ambiguous requirements through to completion.
  • Experience supporting training from developing documentation to conducting in-person or virtual end-user training.
  • Minimum of intermediate level proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Advanced skills preferred.
  • A diligent and hardworking attitude, and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management skills. You’ll roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make a customer successful.
  • You are a strong collaborator with great attention to detail.
  • Strong follow through and proactive in nature. You close the loop, ensure tasks are completed and are strong in your time management.
  • Willingness and able to travel, around 20% to start but could increase as the role expands.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
