The Import-Export Logistics Coordinator is accountable for coordinating freight moves in an efficient, timely, secure, and cost-effective manner. The Import-Export Logistics Coordinator collaborates with the Master Production Scheduler and Procurement as they place orders and provides support by minimizing freight expenses and managing lead times.

 

Ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates urgency, ownership and responsibility in the coordination and movement of inventory around the world.

Your Superpowers in Action

  • Monitor the shipments from origin for purchase orders in specified lanes including carrier confirmation of loads, bookings and estimated time of arrival (ETA) dates; update Funko's ERP system and operations team as milestone events change
  • Maintain communication with operations leadership, including communication of vendor delays, carrier delays and operational issues that affect shipment ETAs
  • Act as liaison between the Master Production Scheduler, Fulfillment Supervisor and Sales; communicate all shipment loads in advance to ensure timely receipt
  • Utilize scheduling tools to track orders, ensure timely receipt of goods, monitor carrier compliance, update inbound and outbound shipments, capture cost analysis and all pertinent carrier performance data
  • Monitor and report carrier performance and effectively resolve issues in a timely manner with minimal impact to operational schedules or performance
  • Support our Finance team in the review of actual freight costs in specified lanes; ensure booked freight costs are accurate and in compliance with accounting regulations
  • Process and review carrier claim issues as well as vendor/carrier overages, shortages and damages issues
  • Request quotes from multiple carriers to ascertain optimal rates according to delivery schedules
  • Handle all Customs Documentation for consolidations in accordance with country-specific regulations

Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry

  • Extensive knowledge of Customs Regulations and understanding of Incoterms is a must. Knowledge of New eManifest regulations (eHBL and D4 Notices) preferred
  • Experience with: sailing schedules, researching and resolving freight discrepancies, internal stakeholders, scheduling trucking and arrangements
  • Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret product information, production schedules, and other process documentation
  • Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, ERP/MRP/WMS and TMS systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when required
  • Proven people skills required, must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal); organizational and problem-solving skills required
  • APICS certification, CTLD is preferred
