Position Summary:
Trupanion is seeking an International Program Manager to lead a variety of complex cross-functional projects as our global footprint expands. This role will participate in the process by which international projects are scoped, prioritized, and measured; and report on project progress and status.
This role will focus on our expansion in Asian markets, and speaking fluent Japanese and English is required.
The ideal candidate is passionate about solving business problems, creating operational excellence, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be a results-oriented individual who can think strategically, adapt quickly, incorporate best practices from different cultures and geographies, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization.
Candidates for this position have the option to work remotely from anywhere in the US, or out of our Seattle office, depending on their preference.
Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Successfully lead all aspects of complex cross-functional international projects
  • Own and drive the complete project lifecycle to ensure successful project delivery and implementation
  • Work with stakeholder(s) to establish and define a program road-map, often over multiple years
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to solicit and create project requirements
  • Run team backlogs, work prioritization, assignments, and resource tracking
  • Ability to resolve ambiguity and conflict to bring teams and business groups into alignment
  • Effectively engage multiple stakeholders and projects/tasks simultaneously


Qualifications
Education, Registration & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience accepted
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred, but not required


Experience:

  • 7+ years experience leading technology and business projects with multiple work streams and partners
  • Experience bringing international teams together and leading teams to successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated program management excellence
  • Experience leading projects with a heavy emphasis on technology deployments
  • Merger and Acquisition experience preferred, but not required


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with experience leading multiple projects with competing priorities in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to impact & influence program stakeholders
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to build a strong rapport and trust with resources across multiple functional areas.
  • Languages: Fluent in English & Japanese
