Job Summary

We are looking for a Lead Strategist to support all aspects of our engagements from project leadership, relationship management, creative problem solving and project management on our Business and Technology Strategy team. A successful Lead Strategist deeply understands the problems we seek to solve, communicates clearly, is able to collaborate fluidly with our tight-knit team of Strategists and Designers, and is comfortable interacting with people at all levels of our clients’ organizations. We welcome non-traditional paths into iF: our team is full of people with unique backgrounds and experiences.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with clients to define project vision, requirements, and timelines
  • Manage projects and teams through the scoping, budgeting, research, and delivery of a project
  • Craft feasible project proposals appropriate to the size of the challenge
  • Investigate and distill large volumes of information on a given topic (e.g., “the internet of things” or “eGovernment technology”) into key insights and / or concise frameworks
  • Create reports, presentations and whitepapers
  • Prepare and present findings / reports to clients
  • Lead and work on collaborative project teams that include strategists and visual / graphic / UX designers
  • Create clear, concise and convincing business strategies for our clients

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience as a project leader in client-facing roles, preferably in consulting services.
  • Experience translating complex information into content that can be understood easily by multiple audiences
  • 5+ years of prior work experience leading complex and open-ended projects with a variety of stakeholders or clients
  • Strong command of the spoken and written word
  • Passion for product and business strategy, including new business models, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies
  • BA/BS or equivalent, MBA a plus
