Manager, Technical Program Manager

As Manager, Technical Program Management, you’ll collaborate closely with a world-class teams of research scientists and engineers to accomplish these ambitious goals. You'll be a critical member of the Graphics team working closely with a multi-disciplinary group of research teams. To be successful, you will be eliminating barriers to your team's success, clearly communicating their work to all stakeholders and ensuring the team operates at an optimal level. Manager, Technical Program Manager Responsibilities
Own program management strategy for a complex multidisciplinary graphics system comprised of multiple workstreams and leads
Create frameworks for organizational health and operational excellence: in areas such as: team communication, organization, documentation
Deliver programs on schedule while balancing research ambiguity and building-in flexibility
Develop and manage Technical communication and documentation of programs in executive reviews
Directly coach and manage team of Technical and Operational Program Managers
Proactively identify technical, legal, procedural, logistical, and communication issues and drive creative solutions to fix them and manage risk
Maintain full visibility of the project status and potential roadblocks
Embrace changes in priority as Research finds new approaches to big problems
Work with Finance, Recruiting and Legal to ensure teams needs are being met
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience leading programs in research or product
A minimum of 5 years direct people management experience
Experience creating efficient and intuitive program and communication structures in a highly matrixed environment
Experience driving program management frameworks with the flexibility to adapt to a research environment
Experience contributing to graphics teams in either a technical or program role
Project management, budgeting and organizational experience
Communication skills and the experience working across many disciplines
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience tech transferring research programs to a product team
Experience developing a Program Framework (PDP process, NTI process, etc.)
Understanding of machine learning, cloud services, real time distributed rendering and/or Silicon development
Experience driving complex programs for consumer electronics devices, including both Hardware and Software components
Start-up experience as a leader or co-founder of the organization
PMP, PgMP or other program management industry accreditation
