Blue Nile is looking for a passionate and talented Merchandising Coordinator to support the company’s buying team. This position will assist the Buyers in managing Blue Nile’s ever expanding custom setting and jewelry services. The ideal candidate will be a proven self-starter with keen product sensibility and the ability to multi-task. The Merchandising Coordinator will actively communicate with both internal teams and external suppliers to manage our day-to-day business needs, ultimately helping the team to drive sales growth. This ambitious and enthusiastic individual will have a natural curiosity about the custom jewelry business and will be amiable to change as the business demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly purchase order
  • Resolve issues or delays with orders or communicate to the appropriate buyer and planner
  • Execute special orders as needed
  • Follow-up on late orders and back-orders
  • Receive and record samples upon arrival and maintain memo records
  • Track all loaned samples
  • Return un-adopted/discontinued samples to vendor
  • Conduct quarterly sample reconciliation and inventories
  • Maintain organization of merchandising room
  • Prepare samples for photo shoots
  • Ensure that all samples have a complete product adoption (PAS) and pricing sheets
  • Create product SKU’s & offers for the website
  • Maintain department files and paperwork
  • Update Site administrative tool as needed
  • Maintain all incoming and outgoing packages for the department
  • Manage the queue for receiving issues

 Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new things
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks as needed
