Job Summary:

Avalara’s Business Development (BD) Partner Launch Team is looking for a Partner Coordinator with exceptional data management, communication and problem-solving skills. The candidate has a background in technology, partner management, partner communication, and is partner facing. This role directly impacts Avalara’s ability to generate revenue. The ideal candidate is self-motived, tenacious, curious and able to create forward motion from ambiguity, this role will make an impact everyday on streamlining the partner experience while working with interesting, fun and dynamic people.  


Job Duties:

  • Partner communication
    • Enable BD oversite for all partner email communications
      • Draft, edit, review, and execute mass email partner technical and service communications
      • Draft, edit, review, and execute partner email updates concerning new feature release cycles, service enhancements, etc.
      • Draft, edit, review and execute partner email requesting partner data and connector data validation, including connector features, new application releases, contact information, etc.
      • Drive timely partner communication
    • Create community through partner outreach:
      • Partner Community newsletter
      • Quarterly partner webinars
      • Create, own and manage content on Avalara’s Developer website (https://developer.avalara.com/)
  • Manage and curate partner and connector data
  • Provide partner and developer evangelism
  • Create partner self service automation to accelerate the Avalara integration certification and data management processes
  • Collaborate across teams to identify partner information needs
  •  

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree
  • Five years of experience in the software/technology sector
  • Extensive communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Partner/account management skills
  • Experienced Salesforce super-user including data management and data curation
    • Experience with Salesforce Communities a plus
  • Experience using website content management solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Technical writing, with a focus on user and installation process documentation
  • Project management
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to execute against tight deadlines and drive multiple projects at once
