Located in our headquartered office in Everett, WA, the Product Development (PD) Process Improvement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring process within PD and between PD and other teams is efficient and gets the right information to the right people. This is a critical role for our growing product team as our business is expanding and new products are being added to our roster every day. 

Your Superpowers in Action

  • Champion all product development process improvement projects from initial discovery, through documentation and final implementation.
  • Assess current processes, perform root cause analysis, and execute viable solutions to drive efficiency, effectiveness and reduced costs within the product development team.
  • Serve as PD liaison between sales, art, operations (procurement, DP), and compliance as new process needs arise.
  • Work with Funko factories and internal compliance teams directly to identify standardized product development processes in order to reduce manufacturing timelines and regulate inconsistencies.
  • Drive implementation of new process execution as additional form factor development arises.
  • Streamline and standardize development steps both internally and with our factories in order to reduce manufacturing errors for all product categories (Vinyl, Plush, Apparel etc.)
  • Serve as direct PD contact for all product development tracking software enhancement projects including system improvements and work internal stakeholders to identify and resolve issues as they arise. 
  • On-board and create harmonized systems between Funko HQ, Funko South, Funko UK, and all future new partners to streamline PD process for all product categories.
  • Be a champion for clean data and identify opportunities for improving data quality within our product development tracking software.

Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry

  • 3+ years of process improvement experience, preferably within a consumer goods organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track record of process improvement with defined results.
  • Outstanding ability to motivate and lead; positively influence relevant stakeholders.
  • Flexibility in fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
