Program Coordinator - Customer Connect

The Consumer Insights team is core to customer centricity. The team develops deep understandings of the global Remitly audience, increasing the relevance and impact of every touch-point. We provide insights for Product and Marketing teams across the company, driving short-term and long-term growth. We keep one eye on the needs of our current customers and one on the hundreds of millions we have yet to reach.
We are looking for a contract Program Coordinator to build and lead our new Customer Connect Program. The role will last for one year and be highly visible in our global organization. Your role:
The goal of the Customer Connect Program is to allow all Remitly employees to better understand current and potential customers: Who are they? How can we solve problems for them? How can we improve existing product and marketing experiences?
You will play a lead role in building and operating this program, applying creative solutions. In this role, you will operate with a range of freedom and flexibility. You will anticipate needs and drive strategy, as well as respond to stakeholders’ requests. Your work will directly champion the voice of the customer.
You will be part of a team of empathetic partners who collaborate and support one another. This role will offer you plenty of opportunities to develop, including opportunities to help examine, synthesize, and summarize the data that we gather through the program.
Specific responsibilities:
- Recruit participants for regular consumer research among immigrants, especially remittance senders, in the greater Seattle area and elsewhere
- Develop and execute on new techniques to reach relevant audiences for research purposes
- Build and maintain a database of potential research participants
- Coordinate the logistics of in-person and remote research, including securing translators, booking facilities, paying incentives, and ordering transcripts
- Develop your ability to examine and synthesize the data gathered
- Help to channel insights to appropriate stakeholders for action and to share information across the company
- Contribute to an Insights Database with the knowledge we gain from the program
Basic qualifications:
- Experience forming relationships across cultures (e.g., community outreach or organizing)
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with English and Spanish or Tagalog
- Proficiency with programs like Excel or Access
- Self-directed, thriving in ambiguous environments
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity
- Excellent writing and speaking skills
Preferences:
- Experience leading focus groups and in-depth interviews
- Social science background (e.g., sociology, psychology, anthropology, political science, international studies, public policy)
- International professional or personal experience
