About This role


Wyze is looking for an experienced Program Manager who can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment! The technology org is in charge of the whole software R&D cycle for home IoT from mobile app, firmware, cloud platform, to AI. As Program Manager, you will work closely with business and development teams throughout the company to define functional requirements, high-level process, and technical solutions, and lead all aspects of project execution – including writing business requirements, defining and implementing SOPs, maintaining the project timeline, resolving or mitigating issues and risks, and presenting results throughout the organization. You will engage in the process of building, iterating, and implementing technical programs covering multiple teams across the US and China including security review, bug bounty management, operational readiness review, engineering team on-call procedure, and more! The successful candidate will be a person who works well with global and cross-functional teams of project managers, business managers, operations, and software development in maintaining and delivering on a pipeline of customer-impacting projects. In addition, they enjoy and excel at working with tech teams to resource, prioritize and lead tech readiness for critical business projects.


Role Description:

  • Identify the efficiency bottlenecks of technical teams and kick off the program initiatives.
  • Define the SOPs to improve product security, operational readiness, and team efficiency.
  • Handle all key technical components of the programs and carry out execution across multiple technical teams.
  • Own the "bug bounty" program, lead all aspects of the problem-solving process, and serve as a point of contact for community managers and the customer service team.
  • Find opportunities to develop and drive solutions to enable automated tools and applications for self-service

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business teams, product managers, and technical teams to continuously innovate and redesign programs to better serve our customers.
  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large sophisticated cross-functional projects.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide customer concern management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the goal versus technical constraints.
  • Gain consensus on SOP decisions and ensure the SOP is appropriately executed.
  • Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization.
  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate risks and issues at multiple levels.
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with opposing priorities.
  • Define, prioritize and plan the Projects that will need to be implemented, gaining alignment with all appropriate levels within technology org.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of meaningful work experience in Technical Program and/or Product Management or leading software development projects with bold schedules.
  • Proficient knowledge of Project/Program Management principles and processes.3+ years of experience working with cross-functional technical teams and business units to design, develop, and implement new systems or solutions.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Analytical problem solver with a proven track record to probe, question, and get “under the hood” of established business operations and processes.
  • Proven capability to lead multiple, disparate projects and/or partner groups.
  • Experience with one or more of the following tools:SPSS, SAS, R or other statistical software packages - SQL or comparable data querying packages - Excel skills (intermediate to advanced proficiency)Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Desire to implement change and appreciate a dynamic environment with constantly evolving priorities
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to make and support decisions
  • Demonstrate organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to produce results in a rapidly-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.
  • Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills - Ability to work optimally in a multifaceted, ambiguous environment - Ability to meet tight delivery schedules and prioritize workloads - Ability to develop new insights and creative solutions - Ability to lead projects in a matrix organization.
  • Experience working closely with remote teams.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity domain.
