You: The Technology Business Office (TBO) is looking for a driven, organized, yet fluid program manager to help manage key technology projects and programs across the Apptio portfolio. You will need to be comfortable being a resource driver as well as an advocate for project resources and stakeholders. Flexibility to help our internal customers transition to a more mature PM model is a must; crawl, walk, run is a team mantra. Finally, all team members are expected to be part of the process that helps the TBO office continuously improve.

What we want you to do: As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving technical and process creation projects from the end of requirements gathering through the closure and lessons learned phase of the project management lifecycle. You will build relationships that enable you to be a trusted advisor and establish / manage risk criteria, build project schedules, communications plans, and status reporting. You will also be involved in helping mature project management as a service throughout the group and contribute to key artifacts creation and internal process improvement. You will be a key member of dynamic and growing team that is helping to build the tools and techniques to bring Apptio into the next phase of growth and continue to maintain our position as a market leader.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have at least 4 years of Project or Program management experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in defining and managing technical projects of a network or systems nature or similar.
- Experience building project schedules, identifying risk, and managing projects through the project management lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills; both written and oral.
- PMI Certification of any type
- Conflict resolution and customer negotiation skills a plus
