Program Manager, Immigration

Your role and impact
98point6 is looking for an Immigration Program Manager to lead case management support for employees, in close partnership with our external immigration partners. You will create a seamless employee experience as they navigate the ever-changing landscape of U.S. immigration. In collaboration with the People Operations team, you will design, manage and scale new immigration processes and capabilities with an incredible employee experience at the forefront. This role will be on-site in Seattle once it is safe to return to office.
Responsibilities
- Lead full life-cycle immigration support, from partnership with the Talent Acquisition team through the entirety of the individual's employment
- Ensure the team receives regular U.S. and Canada immigration updates on risk, strategy and guidelines, which will be informed through collaboration with immigration service providers, our internal People Operations team and by participating in webinars, seminars or conferences
- Work with our immigration attorneys to manage complex requests, including escalations and assessments of immigration options
- Provide transparency into the process and communicate regular updates, verbally and in writing, to employees and stakeholders
- Regular review of internal tools, immigration processes and communication strategies to identify opportunities for relentless improvement, as well as areas of redundancy
- Create and maintain tracking mechanisms and other dashboards that measure overall health of the process, such as cycle times, user experience and legislative updates
- Work with leadership within the People, Legal and Security teams to review and understand the impact of immigration changes and develop associated processes or filing strategies as needed
- Mentor other People Operations Generalists, particularly in immigration program management, and provide stretch opportunities where appropriate based on interest/skill
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience in an organization with a significant volume of work and process optimization
- 2+ years of business immigration experience or program management with heavy emphasis on continuous improvement highly preferred
- Successful record of building, improving and running operational business processes; ability to drive program effectiveness and high levels of stakeholder satisfaction
- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, taking ownership in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances and operating with a solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
