We're a well-financed, financial technology start-up located in Seattle. We're growing (currently 20 employees) and we need a Program/Project Manager to help us deliver our game changing platform. Our tech stack includes block chain and Rust. Location is downtown Seattle. [Note: While this role is listed as "Temporary" it could be full-time for the right person.]

Roles And Responsibilities

Transparent Systems is looking for a Project Manager and Product Owner who can provide project leadership supporting product delivery. This role pairs with Product Development team members to be a strong advocate for our enterprise users and product end-customers. The PM will manage projects to build and deliver Transparent Systems solutions to meet business objectives. The candidate will be responsible for project deliverables, project schedule, internal and external dependency management, and making sure the project is meeting delivery goals with respect to quality and timing, managing risks and trade-off decisions.

 

The ideal candidate has delivered software solutions for enterprise customers, has worked closely with business and technology partners, has played a key role in supporting customer-facing software, and has demonstrable experience managing relationships/expectations of internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

Manages all facets of cross-functional project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk):

* Drive process for project scope definition across both business and technical teams

* Project timeline management (including milestones and launch schedule)

* Document business and functional requirements and develop the product backlog

* Assist in the development of work estimation and resource allocation

* Prioritize the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve the project goals

* Ensure that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and show what the development team will work on next

* Track interdependencies across work streams, communicate status and maintain burn-down chart

* Facilitate project meetings, publish meeting notes, capture key decisions to keep stakeholders and project resources informed.

* Own and manage general project administration and PM tools

* Develop and communicate mechanism to assess risks and develop contingency plans for risks

* Anticipate and resolve bottlenecks and provide escalation management

* Report on status of the project, provide regular updates to all stakeholders include team members, senior management and external partners

* Manage external relationships with partners, including schedule-setting, calendaring, notes, progress reports, etc.

* Work with partners to gather business requirements and help balance the business needs with the technical constraints

* Conduct regular reviews on how well the project is being managed and gather feedback from all stakeholders

Qualifications

* 4 year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience

* Experience with the full software development life cycle and software development methodologies and shipping experience with a technical product - (Agile/Scrum preferred)

* Experience with Project Management tools (Pivotal Tracker experience a plus)

* Office application suites (presentations, spreadsheets, calendars, documents)

Preferred Experience

* Continuous Integration practices/tools and Open Source Frameworks

* Delivery of Tier-1 and/or enterprise software solutions

* FinTech, blockchain, banking, or payments industry experience
