Job Summary:

Avalara’s Business Development Partner Launch Team is looking for a Project Coordinator with exceptional problem-solving skills. The candidate has a background in technology, project management, documentation writing and is partner/customer facing. This role directly impacts Avalara’s ability to generate revenue. The ideal candidate is self-motived, tenacious, curious and able to create forward motion from ambiguity, this role will make an impact everyday on streamlining the partner experience while working with interesting, fun and dynamic people.   

Job Duties:

  • Create partner self service automation to accelerate the Avalara integration certification process
  • Work directly with Partners building integrations to Avalara’s suite of products by providing:
    • Design/architecture review
    • Best practices consultation
    • Issue resolution
  • Conduct solution tests on partner integrations ensuring all requirements are completed and the integration functions properly
  • Verify all required evidence for certification and badging is collected from the partner:
    • Installation guide
    • User guide
    • Functionality checklist
  • Problem solve partner issues. Think of ways to make the integration creation process faster and easier.
  • Provide support for business development, sales, marketing, and customer account management staff as an integration subject matter expert (SME). 
  • Collaborate across teams to identify integration information needs
  • Create and streamline documentation to accelerate the integration build for the partner

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree
  • Five years of experience in the software/technology sector
  • Strong Application Programming Interface (API) skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Technical support skills
  • Technical writing, with a focus on user and installation process documentation
  • Project management
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (phone and webinar)
  • Programming skills a plus
    • JSON/REST
    • Salesforce/APEX language
    • .Net
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to execute against tight deadlines and drive multiple projects at once
