We are looking for Project Manager to join our growing team either in Westport, CT or remotely with business trips once in 3-6 months to the customer's office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own people management life cycle
  • Facilitate resolution of all EPAM personnel issues
  • Partner with People Manager and Engineering Managers on client side to timely fulfill the staffing needs, proactively suggest the team composition (including new position proposals) and potential movement of folks among the client's teams and departments if needed
  • People Management
    • Performance and compensation management, tracking morale and diagnosing the root causes of people's issues timely and proactively
    • Maintain a current synthesis of all team members and proactively flag/make recommendations regarding personnel risks - performance, morale, security issues, decision to leave, and resourcing risks - resource mismatch, hiring challenges
    • Performance improvement planning and executing, expectations setting
  • Operational management - managing and mediating cross-business (Client/EPAM) topics
    • Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and terminating/offboarding
    • Managing topics related to promotions, contracts, relocations, policy changes, and other EPAM-related topics involving the Client
    • Partnering with the Client on team- or organization-wide policies
  • Partner with other EPAM delivery managers of the Client account to align on the common goals and share transparency
  • Partner with Technical Leads to ensure the team achieves the goals with the required level of predictability, transparency, quality, and efficiency
  • Report the status to all stakeholders (including upper-level management) instantly
  • Track the progress and handle/escalate off-track situations
  • Act like an owner
  • Have a clear understanding of the goal and care about the final result


REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent English, both verbal and written communication skill
  • People Management / Engineering management
  • Agile teams' management - 1-2 distributed/dispersed Scrum teams (multi-cultural, different time zones - US/Offshore)
  • Experience in establishing/improvements of Agile processes (Scrum-like, Kanban-like)
  • Traditional Project Management (stakeholders, communication, risks, dependencies, scope, people, quality, schedule) in Agile environments
  • Ability to participate in discussions with technical stakeholders
  • Ability to read technical documents, understand solution architecture, understand the impact of tech decisions on the delivery
  • Ability to hold people accountable
  • Ability to manage own time, priorities, and energy/state


NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Financial domain
  • Experience in working in a highly secured environment
  • Experience in scaled Scrum (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
  • Certification in Scrum (PSM, PSPO, CSM, CSPO)
  • Certification in Kanban (KMP)
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP)
  • Technical background is a plus
