Position Summary:
Trupanion is seeking a Project & Operations Manager to lead complex cross-functional projects that increase enrolled pets. Project Managers are involved with the full project life-cycle, from project k ickoff and upfront strategy & planning, requirements definition, and solution design, to implementation, testing, launch, and ongoing support. This role will also participate in t he process by which projects are submitted, prioritized and measured; and pro vide progress reports to the Market General Manager and Market Leadership.
The ideal candidate is someone who has knowledge of cross functional teams, is passionate about solving business problems, strives for operational excellence, and thrives in a fast -paced environment. You must be a results-oriented individual who can think strategically, adapt quickly, and rapidly earn credibility and trust with all levels of the organization and Territory Partners. We're seeking "big picture" problem solvers who can also account for the details and be able to tie projects to strategic initiatives and Market goals.
Candidates for this position have the option to work remotely from anywhere in the US, or out of our Seattle office, depending on their preference.

Key Re sponsibilities Include:

  • Manage all aspects of complex, cross-functional projects including participating in project prioritization, communication and execution accountability for business projects.
  • Establish work plans with input and consensus from leade rship that define project phases, activities/tasks, dates/duration and resources.
  • Support, organize and encourage the multiple team members assigned to your projects in order to execute work plans and deliver high-quality results that satisfy project obje ctives.
  • Produce project management documentation, such as project plans/timelines, project requirements and success criteria, meeting materials and presentations, status reports, budget reports, and other project documentation.
  • Regularly communicate proj ect status with internal partners, including key accomplishments, next steps, issues/risks/items for management attention, including raising key decisions as required.
  • Effectively identify and mitigate/manage project risks and issues.
  • Manage project scop e, schedule and resources.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Project Management experience or experience managing multiple priorities and solving business problems.


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to impact & influence partners.
  • Ability to resolve ambiguity and bring teams and business groups into alignment.
  • Spot and creatively solve complex, cross-functional operational issues, o ften unique to each project.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Self-starter with the ability to build a strong rapport and trust with r esources across multiple functional areas.
  • Willingness to learn new software, tools, and methodologies - Sharepoint knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
