The Proposal Strategy Manager will oversee RFP strategy for Convoy and partner closely with partners on MPG to translate aggregate data trends to tactical strategic initiatives on an Account level to move the needle on Convoy shipment goals. 

This individual will translate company shipment goals to RFP strategy on an Account by Account basis and communicate that to demand stakeholders, as well as company-wide stakeholders to influence company priorities. This position requires strong stakeholder management skills, EQ skills, analytic skills, preferably is comfortable in customer-facing positions, has a strong background in sales and has in-depth knowledge of pricing models and/or greensheet best-practices. 

This role is a high priority strategic and analytic position that is central to Demand success. This person needs to be a certified rockstar, nothing less. Power-player; Let’s do this! 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build pricing models/greensheets to determine and communicate new account acquisition and account growth goals for upcoming RFPs in coordination with Account owners to drive towards overall company growth goals and support quota attainment.
  • Align internal stakeholders around prioritization of RFP’s as well as greensheet strategy. Create both short term scrum support and long term strategic planning to support critical RFP’s. Where necessary, make improvements to these methodologies.
  • Proactively communicate critical initiatives to internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams. 
  • In collaboration with stakeholders across the demand org, establish key business metrics for tracking RFP success and Sales motions related to that success. 
  • Through analysis and business intelligence, Identify and effectively communicate key levers to accelerate RFP growth.
  • Design, launch, and oversee everything “RFP” (rhyming skills are a plus).

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or related field
  • 5+ years professional/business experience
  • Strong Analytical skills: ability to cut through the noise and pull insight from data
  • Experience in customer-facing sales roles
  • Superior organizational and time management skills; Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Strong communication and keen attention to detail
  • Experience working with finance teams in high growth environments a plus
  • Strategic thinking and ground floor execution
  • Courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it.
