West Monroe Partners is currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our growing Operations Excellence Practice in Seattle. Senior Consultants will work on engagements for clients across a broad spectrum of industries including Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, Energy & Utilities, Consumer & Industrial Products, Retail and others.
Senior Consultants are responsible for working on engagements focused on improving productivity for clients. West Monroe focuses on driving productivity with clients through processes improvement, business process analysis, modeling of resource requirements, implementation of lean concepts, and application of process automation. West Monroe Partners will provide training on UiPath’s Robotic Process Automation Software.
In addition to client service delivery, you will be an integral part of our firm’s mission to develop the next generation of leaders. Senior Consultants help shape the office culture and participate significantly in the entrepreneurial processes within our rapidly growing firm (strategy, recruiting, team building, practice development, etc.).
Senior Consultants at West Monroe Partners have three primary responsibilities:
Client Delivery:
- Assess operational and technology strategies for a client, gather best practices and benchmarks, conduct gap analyses, define improvement opportunities, and build business cases/ road-maps to improve operational strategies
- Develop recommendations for Process Automation
- Lead efforts to execute Process Automation recommendations across areas such as Identification, Design, Build, and Governance phases
- Understand the business processes and industry specific technologies in use at a client company in order to make recommendations on how to achieve sustainable growth, reduce operational risk and/or costs, as well as areas for business process improvement
- Ensure the readiness of the client organization(s) for a variety of changes including new technology/processes, new organization strategy or other change efforts
- Mentor and manage teams of consultants and QA work done by the team
Practice Development:
- Collaborate with local office leadership to define the office culture, strategic direction, and actively lead entrepreneurial activities in a growing office environment
- Drive the development/enhancement of WMP’s Operations Excellence practice eminence, methodologies, and approaches to client delivery
- Coach other consultants and actively participate in the performance management process
- Actively participate in recruiting and retaining top quality consultants
Business Development:
- Participate as a subject matter expert in business development meetings with clients and prospects
- Understand client needs and requirements and help turn those goals into concrete engagements and detailed proposals
- Create work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for prospects
- Attend networking events and actively build a professional network and affiliate network in the local community
What do we need you to bring with you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, related engineering or business discipline
- MBA or PMP Certificate a plus
- 3+ years of engineering and/or process improvement projects, Robotic Process Automation projects or other large scale process/technology projects
- Demonstrated success within one or more of
- Preferred to have demonstrated success within one or more of West Monroe Partners’ core industries including Energy & Utilities, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Insurance, Consumer Products, Banking and/or Private Equity
- Proficient skills and experience with process optimization projects. For example, implementation of Lean, development of engineered labor standards, workflow analysis, process improvements and implementations, and productivity improvements initiatives
- Well-rounded skill set with excellent analytical and communication (verbal and deliverable development) skills and comfort dealing with ambiguity in a client environment
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with project team members
- Experience using Excel and project management tools
- Prior consulting experience from either a large/strategic consultancy or internal corporate change management group preferred
- Strong project management methodology background including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis
- Ability to work in the United States without limitation now or in the future
- Ability to travel 75%
