As a member of the Global Data and Advanced Analytics team, the Consumer Privacy Project Manager will be responsible for leading the coordination and development of technical solutions for the adherence to arising consumer preference and privacy regulations and electronic records management schedules. In this role, you will coordinate across a multitude of technical and business teams to identify use cases and platforms under scope of privacy regulations, including the California Privacy Rights Act. You will coordinate an adherence approach across multiple levels of leadership, and serve as product owner overseeing the development of software products for compliant management of consumer data.
We are seeking an individual who can work under broad management direction, and at high authority limits on assignments reflecting a high degree of technical complexity and coordination. You will need to have a high level of technical knowledge including a basic understanding of APIs and database technologies. As a product owner of an agile development squad, you will manage a backlog of technical deliverables in support of privacy regulations and communicate progress to all levels of leadership across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:

  • Under the broadest management direction, implement, automate, and strengthen data management controls across a single function with a regional scope in mind.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of consumer data privacy regulations, and maintain a forward-looking perspective on arising risks and legislation.
  • Translate data privacy needs into logical and practical data solutions in partnership with IT architecture. Demonstrate strong systems thinking through appreciation of data usage and storage across multiple Global Retail Markets business functions.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of architecture best practices. Ability to architect and develop solutions to meet technical and business requirements, and perform iterative testing to ensure desired specifications are met.
  • Leverage strong influence and collaboration capabilities to partner with IT and business teams (stakeholders and contributors) and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Influence decision makers on the outcome of an initiative based on its perceived value, and to influence the prioritization of data management solutions. Work with stakeholders to define metrics that are impactful for the business.
  • Be the servant leader of an agile squad, curating their development backlog, setting clear priorities and goals, and facilitating in the removal of blockers.
  • Collaborate in the development of technical solutions through problem solving.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate how technical design meets business needs to a senior audience with appreciation of industry trends and business processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience. Master?s degree preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Strong project management, organization, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Experience with agile development practices.
  • 5+ years experience in an operations or systems role.
  • 2+ years experience in data management or software governance.


Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Experience in communicating recommendations to senior business leaders preferred
  • BA/BS, or relevant work experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative discipline strongly preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience working in coding and data solutions design principles, particularly in open source tools and technology
