We have 4 offices worldwide in Seattle (HQ), Toronto, Fort Lauderdale and Kathmandu. We work collaboratively across time zones and geographies, using Slack, Zoom, Github, and email.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The InfoSec team is responsible for understanding the latest security threats, assessing Assurance’s IT security risks using HIPAA, PCI and SOC-2 frameworks, monitoring & responding to real-time threats, and working collaboratively with software engineering teams to minimize risk to our customer data.
You will be hands-on solving security problems and providing thought leadership and direction for the Information Security program. You will own writing and updating our information security policies, and working with our Compliance, Privacy, Legal and Business teams to make sure these policies are right for Assurance. You will own our application inventory & risk assessments, and third party vendor inventory & risk assessments. You’ll evolve our framework for evaluating application and third party risk, and work with our engineering, data science and business teams to ensure we are have the appropriate security controls in place. Where we have security gaps, you will innovate to define solutions that mitigate the risk without impeding the business. You will also take the lead on many internal and external security audits, such as SOC-2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
-5+ years of InfoSec risk work
-Have successfully led one or more major security audits (SOC2, HIPAA, or PCI)
-Perform internal evidence reviews to follow compliance requirements
-Proactively informs senior management of significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and governance
-Insightful understanding of security threats and hands on experience remediating critical security issues
-Excellent written communication skills
-Work with our partner teams to assist on customer inquiries
