As a Senior Program Manager on VIZIO's Software and Services team, the incumbent will collaborate with software development managers to plan and execute software projects from start to finish, working with teams in the agile software model. The incumbent will be responsible for helping write user stories, plan sprints, and ensure that customer requirements are met. Acting as a Scrum Master in the software development process, the incumbent will anticipate and communicate bottlenecks throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as the Scrum Master, managing Scrum process using JIRA Agile software. This includes administrative duties in JIRA and Confluence.

• Create user stories based on product requirements. Collaborate with QA on acceptance criteria and verify test cases are executed.

• Triage product issues reported by testers and users to schedule bug fixes based on priority.

• Program/Project manage software build, testing and release activities.

• Track the engineering build schedule, and create and maintain tasks in backlog.

• Work with the engineering teams to track progress on development tasks in a manner easily consumable by all stakeholders.

• Communicate with team members regarding the delivery status, dependencies, and risks against agreed objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience influencing software engineering and agile best practices within a team.

• Experience in delivering consumer facing products.

• Previous demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master for a software team of 5+ developers.

• Strong communication skills, a desire to innovate, strong user experience empathy, an ability to dive deep into technical solutions, and a background in managing the software delivery life cycle to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.

• Highly effective verbal and written communications with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization, including: facilitation, listening, and motivating stakeholders across the organization.

• Deep understanding of software engineering concepts and the ability to manage tradeoffs.

• BA or BS Degree or equivalent/demonstrated experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of Program or Project Management experience.

• Occasional travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a software developer preferred.

• Experience managing software services projects.

• Experience writing software programs.
