In recent years, we’ve heard developers of all sizes are struggling to innovate in multiplayer games, largely due to technical constraints and unique expertise required to succeed. In the Connected Games team, we are building flexible and scalable services and netcode to power unique game designs.

As a Technical Product Manager on this team, your goal will be to provide a deep understanding of how our tools and services are used, what challenges we face in the market, and how we can best help our customers realize their multiplayer launch dreams.


Responsibilities

  • Assemble the product roadmap and product requirements from multiple sources (e.g. strategic planning, developer feedback, usability, competitive assessment, sales, customer interaction), understanding both current and future customer needs
  • Capture and technically document feature requests from an array of stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Conduct and participate in daily engineering discussions
  • Write Epics, use-cases, user stories, functional specifications, or other feature descriptions
  • Work with UX/UI designers to develop workflow diagrams, storyboards and wireframes
  • Communicate product plans upwards to align strategies before development starts
  • Assist in building business cases and analytical insights for new business initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience in multiplayer games development, with empathy and passion for solving unique problems game developers face
  • Knowledge and ability to effectively discuss technical and UX requirements with engineers and designers
  • Experience in creating alignment in cross-discipline and cross-organization teams 
  • The ability to build a holistic strategy for a set of products, tools, or services
  • Ability to work autonomously, with teams and stakeholders globally distributed

Bonus Points

  • Experience in Product Management, especially in the full product lifecycle, from initiation to launch and ongoing improvements
  • Knowledge and experience in scalable services, ideally using cloud infrastructure
  • Knowledge and experience in efficient and performant Netcode
  • Can demonstrate the success of each product from multiple angles (i.e. business goals, user goals, technology goals)
