JOB DUTIES: Architect and drive the build out of Coupang’s next generation data platform. Build durable code, with the ability to scale with very large data volumes. Expected to become an expert and know the in-and-outs about one or more distributed storage solutions. Operate and Develop new features on our current NoSQL/storage services in web services platform to provide a company level service. Continue to improve Coupang’s platform stability and the performance to achieve zero downtime and smooth operations.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or computer related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or computer related field and 84 months of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to Master’s degree and 60 months of experience.

60 months of work experience must involve in: designing, building and maintaining large-scale data infrastructures in Java, distributed systems, micro services; supporting cloud Background on both development and operations; implement the automatic deployment CI/CD platform; Utilizing object-oriented design and data structures, algorithm for problem solving and complexity analysis; Providing full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations; Experience in at least two of the following technologies: Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka and Cassandra; integrating data from multiple data sources including relational database, NoSQL, Kafka, S3, and REST API.
