A Look Inside the Role  

The Wyze Commerce team is seeking an Operations Manager that will be focused on all aspects of the customer journey as it pertains to our online direct to consumer channel. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be a part of a quickly growing eCommerce team and to be a vital part of shaping the experience. We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively as well as introduce mechanisms to improve efficiencies, and who enjoys working with multiple cross-company teams. You will work on many projects involving the web, mobile, and potentially other screens involving different e-commerce projects and customer experiences. We are a small, yet very efficient, driven, and collaborative team, so we are looking for someone that shares our values and company culture of making smart technology accessible for all. What is the opportunity?

  • You grew from either an engineering background to become a team and project leader.
  • You feel at home running planning sessions, retrospectives, communicating estimates to customers, collaborating with designers and developers, and providing upward visibility to executive sponsors.
  • You know when and how to inform, understand, educate, and corral customer expectations and are an expert at distilling and harnessing a customer’s vision to drive success.
  • You possess the ability to understand user experience, customer journeys, complex integrated systems (ecommerce, crm, erp, etc), and how to distill complex needs into actionable plans.
  • You possess the ability to understand and guide wireframe reviews while providing on-the-fly guidance to our partners and internal teams.
  • You know both when to ask questions and when to drive research and discovery. You possess a self-driven attitude and are comfortable becoming the hub for all knowledge for our projects.
  • You believe in the use of project management tools to manage schedules, budgets, burn-rates, and trust in data to drive success.
  • You have experience as both a product owner and project manager, and have successfully led e-commerce, system integration and/or development projects to success.
  • Project scoping, requirements gathering, creating documentation.
  • Create, execute and maintain project plans and timelines.
  • Collaborate with UX/Design, Architects, QA & Developers to ensure documentation and project artifacts are being produced and communicated.
  • Managing large scale e-commerce projects and programs.
  • Proactively identify and manage risk, and potential scope changes.
  • Manage the project team, sprints, backlogs, and release cycles to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate communication from all project team members, third-parties and partners.
  • Oversee the resource management across your own projects, understand and anticipate project and resource needs and dependencies.
  • Review project deliverables from the team
  • Be the Scrum Master and coach for agile practices

Who are we looking for?

  • 3+ years experience in a technical program management or operational role
  • 3+ years experience working with AWS, Google, Azure or other public cloud providers
  • BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent experience
