We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with extensive software development experience (Oracle development a strong plus).
The TPM will support the Merchandise, Finance & Fulfillment Center teams to collaboratively define and manage cross functional programs that enable the delivery of products and features.
You will help shape the long-term and short-term strategy, drive planning/prioritization for the teams by providing analytical insight and foresight. Drive the execution of the plans while defining and aligning cross team engagements, bringing clarity and focus and enabling the easy flow of information between teams by creating effective communications. You must be not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. As a TPM, you anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. You have the ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to your success in this role.
A day in the life...

  • Lead iterative delivery of strategic cross-functional initiatives from concept to ship, through focus, transparency, communication, visibility, and accountability.
  • Manage cross functional dependencies, risks and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
  • Collaborate with partnering teams to define program requirements, set priorities and establish scope which includes defining the roadmap and long-term/short-term strategy.
  • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to drive execution all phases of SDLC i.e. analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and post implementation phases.
  • Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of program deliverables.
  • Guide and manage the usage of agile methodologies to simplify project delivery.


Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science or an engineering background, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering, or technical product/program management, or engineering leadership experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects iteratively with multiple dependencies and constraints, in a dynamic and agile environment.
  • Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of extreme ambiguity, with only high level direction and demonstrate critical thinking, thought leadership.
  • Able to communicate highly technical problems and solutions at all levels from engineer to partner teams to executive leadership.
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
  • Strong technical acumen to drive design and architecture discussions with engineering teams.
