About the Role:
We're looking for an Infrastructure Technical Project Manager (TPM) with deep technical expertise in the cloud, all aspects of the SDLC and agile to serve as coach and facilitator to our Platform Engineering, IT, Security and Operations teams. The TPM will be viewed as a leader, working with engineers of diverse skills and needs to have strong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills. The TPM must be able to take initiative, resolve conflicts, communicate a vision and influence a cultural shift while we transition to a DevOps Assembly Line. 
What You'll be Doing:

  • Technical Project Manager for platform engineering, IT, security and operations teams
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to manage, track and control project challenges and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Understand legacy and cloud technologies and rely on technical expertise to facilitate technical discussions to drive toward decision or resolution
  • Manage team delivery and stakeholder communication, and maintain transparency to all levels through reporting
  • Run scrum ceremonies and establish best practices within the team; manage all aspects of the agile process
  • Manage external team dependencies and facilitate/participate in cross-team planning and coordination
  • Coach and support the application teams in their shift to a DevOps culture
  • Help teams celebrate their success

  • Demonstrates deep technical subject matter expertise to scope projects, drive solution design, and resolve issues 
  • Has written software and can use software to achieve goals
  • Experience with the “people” side of agile – high-performance team building, change management, coaching, and interpersonal dynamics
  • Teams understand the vision, have clear objectives and see a path to success
  • Teams have clear working agreements, clarified their “definition of done” and regularly retrospect with action items, continuously improving
  • Willing to wear many hats to serve the needs of the team and business
  • Can apply critical thinking and is comfortable asking hard questions
  • Measures and monitors team progress and can use data to improve team health and delivery
  • Solid grasp on agile process and theory with experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  • Quick to action and comfortable jumping into urgent issues to help coordinate players and drive resolution

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience as a Technical Project Management or 5+ years in a software development environment managing end to end lifecycles of technical projects.
  • Experience working with code and storage and operating systems
  • Experience with the design and architecture of software to improve availability, scalability, latency and efficiency
  • Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Security, and System/Network Architecture
  • Ability to collect, analyze and communicate reporting metrics.
  • Experience working with multiple project methodologies including agile and kanban
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Scrum certification, PMP (optional)
