About the Team:

The Industry Partnerships team at RealSelf is responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating and executing strategic partnership opportunities focused on brands’ growth and reputation (endemic brands examples: toxin/filler pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers, and adjacencies such as skincare brands). We work closely with senior leadership, marketing, and product teams to lead new monetization opportunities, optimize existing products and new product development. We support all aspects of new client acquisition and existing partnerships growth. Our partnerships have a significant impact on the overall revenue growth of the company.

 

About the Role:

RealSelf is looking for a Vice President to lead the RealSelf Industry Partnerships team. He/she will own the team’s revenue goals (growth and retention), business strategy, and product strategy (new products, features & prioritizations) including go to market, by working across the company to build and execute partnerships programs.

She/he should be passionate about the beauty/aesthetics category. 

This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and can be based in Seattle, WA (RealSelf offices), NYC or LA/OC.

 

In this role you will: 

  • Evaluate and prioritize partnership opportunities, performing quantitative and qualitative due diligence
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across our product, engineering, marketing, communications, and other teams to ensure close alignment on deals before, during and after deals are signed
  • Define and drive the multi-year business and product vision in order to double the size of the Industry Partnerships business in the next 2-3 years
  • Participate in sales meetings, industry conferences and events
  • Establish key performance indicators that will determine the ultimate success of the partnership
  • Maintain all aspects of partnership go-to-market, ensuring that both parties hit their respective timelines prior, during, and after launch
  • Be the voice and champion of our industry customers, tell their story with conviction and passion
  • Lead a high performing cross-functional team of Account Executives, Client Services Managers, and Product Marketing

You may be the right fit if you: 

  • Love working directly with client partners (c-suite as well as project leads), and you create and maintain long term relationships. Ad agency relationship management experience is a plus.
  • Are an expert in the advertising and partnerships monetization ecosystem (strategy, development, technical understanding of the systems required to grow a modern advertising business, go-to-market of existing and new standard, hybrid or custom products)
  • Have owned and successfully delivered 8-figure+ annual revenue goals 
  • Have 12+ years of experience in digital marketing, monetization product management, business development, or similar roles.
  • Are a problem solver with a strong bias for action and being an owner is in your DNA
  • Truly enjoy building, leading and managing a high-performing team because without a great team, you can’t deliver continual growth and satisfaction (team and partners)
  • Are comfortable rolling up your sleeves as much as you like whiteboarding the big picture
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly moving parts. Status quo is an enemy.
  • Love to take very broad challenges or opportunities and turn them into actionable projects with clear milestones and goals, with minimal guidance - and deliver.

 

Travel: 

Yes, up to 20%. Being with clients (new and existing) is critical to the team’s success.

Work Environment:

The RealSelf office sits in a historic Pioneer Square building. Employees also have the option to bring their dogs to work!
