Regional Sales Executive, North Central

Milestone Systems, a global leader in Video Management Software (VMS), is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Executive, North Central, to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, building lasting partnerships, and delivering cutting-edge solutions to security and surveillance industry clients. This remote position covers these states: CO, WY, ND, SD, MN, WI, NE, IA, IL, IN, OH, and MI.

Success in this position requires a proactive approach to prospecting, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate and detailed records in Salesforce. As a Regional Sales Executive, you will work alongside smart and friendly colleagues focused on ensuring the success of our sales efforts. The team fosters a culture of camaraderie, where everyone is encouraged to share ideas, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate each other's achievements.

The ideal candidate must reside in the North Central territory with a preference for people in Minnesota, Nebraska, and Iowa. The position reports to the National Sales Manager, Central.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify, research, and engage prospective clients in the Video Management Software space through cold calls, emails, networking, and industry events.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and manage a high-quality sales pipeline using Salesforce, ensuring all activities, leads, and opportunities are meticulously documented and updated.
  • Client Relationships: Cultivate strong connections with key decision-makers to understand their needs and deliver customized VMS solutions.
  • Closing Sales: Lead the entire sales cycle, from first contact to deal closure, consistently achieving or surpassing sales goals.
  • Market Expertise: Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to position Milestone Systems as a trusted industry partner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure seamless service delivery and drive client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Video Management Software or related technology sectors is highly desirable.
  • Sales Excellence: A proven track record in a new business development or hunter role, with 5 years of experience achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • CRM Expertise: Proficiency in Salesforce, with a strong focus on maintaining detailed and accurate records.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to present, negotiate, and close with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-Motivated: Results-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently to achieve ambitious objectives.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with VMS, security systems, and surveillance technologies is a strong advantage.

Travel: This role requires frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel, primarily by air. Candidates must be able and willing to travel by airplane to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support regional sales initiatives. Estimated travel: 25-30%, including overnight stays.

The annual on-target earnings for this position range from $145,000 to $160,000. Pay is based on the level, location, complexity, responsibility, and job duties of the specific position and is just one component of Milestone’s total compensation package.
