The Account Director leads all aspects of the Agency-Client relationship by providing them with support to deliver highly effective demand generation, lead management, and integrated, results-focused digital marketing initiatives for a select group of top tier clients. The Account Director cultivates existing client relationships, ensures client results, maintains high levels of satisfaction and uncovers exciting business opportunities with existing clients. This position reports to the Group Account Director.

 

Responsibilities

· Maintain awareness of current research, the marketplace, the competitive environment, the client's industry and position in order to recommend strategies/projects.

· Handle a list of assigned accounts and assess performance on these accounts against implemented targets and benchmarks.

· Responsible for retention and growth of the existing client base through individual efforts and efforts of the account management team to deliver profitable, quality service.

· Define business strategies by applying knowledge based on customer market.

· Assess strategies currently in place for existing clients and recommend new or amended priorities and targets as required, in order to enable Yesler to meet and exceed each client's commercial and business objectives.

· Monitor projects through the Account Manager and ensure client satisfaction in all agency services and deliverables.

· Own senior client relationships (CMO, Marketing VP, etc.) across existing client base.

· Provide a point of escalation for the client and account team.

· Lead client meetings on a regular basis.

· Review key deliverables before submission to clients.

· Ensure that significant return on investment is being achieved across all assigned accounts and that high standards of quality are met from the account team.

· Provide high level internal oversight for execution of marketing solutions, while playing an active role in the project strategy.

· Track digital marketing performance against implemented targets in order to ensure the best possible quality of results are maintained across the Yesler client portfolio.

· Support VP of Client Results in informing the overall business strategy, and keep company leaders apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business.

· Facilitate the development and documentation of standard methodologies for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group.

· Lead the creation of SOWs, proposals and budgets.

· Lead and implement client account planning.

· Balance work load and process by facilitating regular meetings with account team.

 

Key Skills and Experience

· Experience across a range of digital marketing disciplines.

· Familiar with industry best practices, concepts, and procedures.

· Experience devising and implementing integrated digital marketing strategies, either within an agency or in-house.

· Specific experience of achieving significant improvements in results by devising and implementing innovative campaign strategies and ideas.

· Analytical, with a confirmed ability to interpret large amounts of information, news, data and research quickly – and distil the most important/relevant information for intelligent strategic development.

· Demonstrated competence in content development, social media, demand generation, Marketing Automation.

· Highly passionate about delving into – and drawing insight from – data.

· Entrepreneurial mindset and highly organized, with strong project management and planning skills.

· Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver clear and concise ideas to internal and external customers.

· Able to work both on own initiative and as part of a team.

· Extensive account management experience, providing digital marketing solutions.

· Well versed in the latest digital trends and experience in leading agency executions.

· Experience consulting directly with clients.

· Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, relationship management and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.

· Able and willing to wear multiple hats, without hesitation to do what it takes to get things done.

· Able to encourage others to communicate openly and supportively.

· Able to be analytical and strategic.

· Able to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast paced, changing environment.

· Driven by results, while enthusiastically seeking to improve them.

· At least 10 years' experience in product marketing, executive communications, direct marketing, or marketing program management – variety across multiple disciplines desirable, and previous agency experience preferred.

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related 4-year degree required, MBA preferred.
