About This Role

The Account Manager (AM) will be responsible for driving sales of Apptentive products within Apptentive’s existing customer base. The AM will manage all aspects of the sales process including lead management, qualification, evaluation, close and account care and will play an integral role in the success of the overall sales team. This is a quota-carrying position with high visibility inside the company’s leadership team and involvement with our most strategic customers. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering #CustomerLove on a daily basis to our customers like Zillow, Starbucks, McDonald’s, eBay, Disney, Alaska Airlines, Marriott and Concur. 

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for expanding the use of Apptentive within the most well-known brands and mobile apps from around the world. We want to see you succeed and reach your revenue goals. You will have the full support of our entire team, from the CEO to our engineers, in an effort to make sure you can be responsible for what you do best: Selling great technology to customers you care about. 

Some of the things you'll be tasked with include:

  • Create and maintain account plans for Apptentive's strategic customers
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals (quota) through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing opportunities within the accounts
  • Manage and track customer and transactional information in a CRM system
  • Provide product demonstrations and general support to customers
  • Nurture and expand the company's relationship with customer accounts of all sizes
  • Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through the CRM system
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff
  • Participate in team-building and company growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care
  • Travel to customer locations in support of sales efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

To be successful, you will likely have:

  • At least 5-7 years of account management experience selling a SaaS/technology product
  • Demonstrated history of quota and revenue target attainment
  • Experience working with large companies and Enterprise level accounts
  • Background in working with mobile apps and/or mobile app B2B technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience using Salesforce, Powerpoint, Excel, Jira, Google Docs
