Position Summary:

Are you experienced in strategic account management and passionate about the wellbeing of pets?

The Breeder Engagement Specialist will thrive when connecting with new partners, primarily through email and while traveling for industry events. They will show clarity in communication, have strong presentation skills, and have a deep understanding of the benefits of Trupanion and the Breeder Support Program.

They will learn and implement new initiatives quickly, analyze trends, and deliver return on investment reports. As a subject matter specialist, they will account manage a special segment of the business.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Email queue management and lead delegation.
  • Process campaign requests from the team, whether you are helping to create them, editing them, or supporting them.
  • Develop marketing email campaigns and responding to inbound requests within own book.
  • Analyze trends and calculate ROIs during and after campaigns.
  • Collaborate with various team members and departments to achieve goals.
  • Create strategies to support and generate referral activity within our specialized segment of breeders who raise one or fewer litters per year.
  • Prospect and manage a book of breeders with a proactive and innovative approach.
  • 20% travel required to engage breeders at dog/cat shows across North America
  • Coordinate shipping logistics for sending swag to partners and/or potential partners.

Qualifications

  • The ability to work well within and across teams and give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Click Dimensions or email marketing experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Be flexible, adaptive with regard to work-flow and developing strategies and processes
  • Motivated by our mission to give responsible pet owners the ability to afford the best medical treatment for their pet when it becomes sick or injured.
  • Relationship building skills to build and maintain relationships with preservation breeders
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects/campaigns at once
  • 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in consultative sales or B2B sales
  • An entrepreneurial drive, embodying an attitude of persistence and grit
  • This position is remote eligible - however applicants located within 30 min of major metropolitan areas are preferred for ease of travel
