About the Business Development Manager Position

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager who will be focused on executing go-to-market strategies for new ancillary businesses for Knock, while working alongside all internal key stakeholders and departments to ensure successful implementation of feedback from our clients. Our flagship product is Knock CRM - our award winning, industry-leading sales enablement product. Knock will continue to expand on our core CRM product through its ancillary leasing product offerings for our clients. You will work closely with partners, clients and internal key stakeholders across leadership, product, engineering, customer success, sales and marketing to envision and launch the products of the future. 

The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for supporting the VP of Business Development as it relates to our industry partnerships. This includes researching and vetting out potential partnership opportunities for both our existing Core CRM product and ancillary business lines for Knock, as well as serving as the liaison between our most promising partner relationships and our internal key stakeholders across the various departments to ensure proper strategy is put in place for a successful integration and/or partnership execution. 

About the Business Development Team

The Knock business development team is focused on driving new product innovation and go-to-market strategies to ensure Knock remains the industry leader. Our team works closely with partners, clients and internal key stakeholders across leadership, product, engineering, customer success, sales, and marketing to ensure a successful launch of new products that will add value and bottom line revenue to the Knock organization. Our team oversees the Knock Now product, an industry-first API platform that connects properties with leading advertisers, which launched in 2019.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help consult go-to-market business development and sales for ancillary business lines
  • Develop strategies to drive overall industry adoption and monetization of new ancillary product lines at Knock.
  • Represent the company during external meetings and industry events;
  • Cross-functional team alignment on product priorities, specifically the Product Managers, engineering team and product marketing, in order to provide a superior product experience for our customers.
  • Bring strategic feedback to the table from the industry and from client discovery meetings that will allow for leadership, product and engineering to take actionable next steps to further improve our market share.
  • Report to leadership on key metrics as it relates to revenue and progress made with go-to-market of the launch of new ancillary product lines.
  • Be knowledgeable on competitive markets and industry forecasts.
  • Gain deep understanding of partner landscape across PropTech industry.
  • Compile and share research and strategy on partners for VP of Business Development, focusing on areas where we can leverage partnerships for ancillary business lines (buy vs. build vs. partner) that will drive revenue or product enhancements for Knock customers.
  • Serve as a relationship manager and liaison between key points of contact at PropTech vendor / partnership companies and product, engineering and sales to ensure successful implementation and execution of integrations.
