Your Role and Impact

98point6 is seeking a Business Development Specialist with a strong desire to contribute to our ongoing rapid growth. This role is key in assisting national business growth, providing inbound support and qualification of leads produced by marketing campaigns or existing customer engagements. You will focus on engaging and qualifying prospective customers, as well as assisting them through the contracting process. Collaborating with the internal sales and marketing teams, you will help deliver exceptional customer service, exceeding sales goals to maximize company revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on 98point6 and our value proposition
  • Partner with marketing to fill the top of the sales funnel by creating and executing lead generation campaigns and nurturing existing prospects
  • Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries
  • Partner with each VP of Sales/Business Development to create and execute lead generation strategies for their territories (i.e., research key accounts, initiate and develop contacts, set meetings)
  • Support brokers and consultants by providing material, quotes and contracts for their clients
  • Own the sales cycle for our small and medium business market segment

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in a high-tech B2B inside sales or sales operation support role
  • Successful track record of closing deals and providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Experience with prospecting, cold calling and building/managing a sales pipeline
  • Passionate about learning the world of healthcare, benefits, key players and industry trends
  • Experience using Salesforce, SalesLoft and LinkedIn is a plus
  • Outstanding communication skills—written and verbal; ability to prepare and present to all levels within client organizations
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong team player, comfortable and motivated by working in a collaborative environment; ability to build relationships with key stakeholders in marketing, sales and product teams
