The Business Development Specialist will be a high-impact influencer within the e-learning and wellbeing communities, with a large network and strong business acumen. You will build key partnerships, identify business opportunities, and close deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.


You will manage relationships and negotiate terms on branded commercial uses of content. You will review terms of service, license terms, contact publishers as well as negotiate and secure partnerships/deals/alliances to incorporate their content into our platform. You will be challenged to close deals quickly and efficiently and demonstrate rockstar project management skills. You should be able to create and execute a streamlined partnership development process, collaborating with others as necessary.

What you'll do:

  • Build strong industry partnerships with organizations operating in e-learning industry
  • Collaborate with the Legal team to administer contracts for licensing and utilizing partner’s content
  • Conduct meetings with senior management from target companies
  • Work with the Content and Learning teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of the target audience/prospects
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop key pieces of collateral to educate potential partners on our offerings
  • Maximize networking opportunities and leverage conferences, events, and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts
  • Build a partnership pipeline and provide quantitative reporting to management
  • Identify prospective clients via targeted lead research within the e-learning industry

Who we're looking for:

  • Good networking in e-Learning Industry
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development
  • Experience of building and maintaining internal and external partnerships 
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and use appropriate judgment about when to ask for help or clarify assignments
  • Ability to work with team members and other stakeholders and take direction, offer ideas, and use resources effectively
  • High attention to detail while keeping an eye on the big picture
  • Strong customer development and relationship management skills
  • Familiarity with a startup environment preferred
