Job Description

The Role:

PayScale's Customer Success Management team is looking for a talented software sales professional to join us as a Customer Sales Manager (also called "Expansion Manager" internally), working to expand revenue within our existing book of business and increase the customer’s access to PayScale products and solutions. In this role, you will:

  • Generate upsell / expansion opportunities through pre-qualified meetings as well as your own prospecting within customer books.
  • Expand the footprint of PayScale within an organization by building opportunities with new divisions, Parent organizations, subsidiaries, etc.
  • Partner with customers to identify key business goals & outcomes and how PayScale's approach to compensation strategy can drive their business and team forward.
  • Become a trusted advisor in the compensation space and stay apprised of key trends across various verticals and markets in order to help customers understand the ever-changing pay landscape.

Qualifications

The Person:

  • You are passionate and have a proven track record of exceeding expectations, both for the company & for your customers.
  • You are an agile sales & customer success professional. You have had experience partnering quickly with your clients but have also been able to cultivate long-standing customer relationships.
  • You are energized by the technology industry and by conveying the impact that a SaaS product can have on a business.
  • You love sharing your knowledge and helping the overall team gain an understanding of the upsell process - after all, collaboration is key!
  • You’re courageous. Your energy and enthusiasm can only be matched by your eye for business while speaking to C-Level clients.
  • You’re a feedback master! You are able to identify your own weaknesses and have no problem saying “I don’t know.” And why would you? You're so good at implementing feedback that it makes it easy.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Required.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience leading a complex sales process, with a consistent record of success or similar experience within in a revenue generating role.
  • Experience selling, upselling, cross-selling a SaaS platform.
