About The Position:

Qumulo is seeking a Deal Desk Manager, responsible for improving sales performance through better processes, technology and methodologies. Oversee the Deal Desk team and management of deals through the deal review process to ensure quality assurance, business, operational and SLA compliance and optimal deal structure and pricing response. Act as an escalation point on deal exceptions, more difficult structuring issues and deal desk matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Review deal financials, pricing and business risk while maximizing value to Qumulo.
  • Oversee discount, margin guidance and deal structuring advice based upon understanding of overall deal portfolio, business strategy and competitive situation.
  • Effectively resolve and champion conflicts arising between internal processes and customer needs. Ensure appropriate expertise, review and approvals are applied to the execution of all sales documents. Provide analysis as needed and consult to ensure optimal results.
  • Analyze deal flow and provide market trends and competitive insights to senior sales and business leadership
  • Create effective cross-functional and cross-organizational communication and teamwork by partnering with Revenue Accounting, Legal, Delivery, Sales, Product Management and other internal corporate groups.
  • Work on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products or technologies. Create formal networks with key decision makers and serves as external spokesperson for the organization.
  • Exercises broad latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
  • Track renewals and related documents ensuring opportunities and quotes are set up appropriately and following up with field teams when exceptions occur
  • Support the sales teams in the development of RFPs, as needed

Requirements:

  • 5+ years software/high tech industry experience (Deal Desk, Finance, Sales Operations experience preferred)
  • Experience in complex deal structuring, including Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs).
  • Experience interfacing with senior sales and business leadership.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance and proposing solutions.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented, energetic professional who is a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to enable informed decision making.
  • Strong background in Salesforce.com, Excel, and CPQ.
  • Support sales by becoming a subject matter expert in Qumulo solutions.
  • Excellent follow through and attention to detail.
