Summary

Are you a high-energy, competitive leader with strong business skills and a desire to change the way business is done? The purpose of this position is to lead a team of Business Development Reps who are responsible for researching, identifying, and qualifying relevant new business opportunities and designing plans to deliver a measurable and significant pipeline of opportunities to our sales organization, via our partnerships. The role plays a significant role in driving revenue growth for the company.

We’re looking for someone to add to our Integrated Payments team who make relationships with software partners and industry organizations to bring to market POS / credit card processing offerings to market that help small and medium business thrive in pursuit of our mission to “stand with the little guy or gal who believes in the American dream and is willing to work to achieve it”.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing a business development function that spans multiple products and business segments,
  • Generate and continually optimize the business development strategy efforts based on product performance, marketing strategy, and sales targets,
  • Develop team members to exceed goals using a multifaceted approach that includes coaching, training and goal setting/ tracking,
  • Responsible for driving new business, owning and growing vertical markets by securing partnership agreements and achieving monthly goals,
  • Work directly with internal teams including but not limited to development, technical support and sales,
  • Work with Product Owners on new feature requests based on feedback from partners and potential partners,
  • Ensuring an active, continuous, new and expanded business pipeline that exceeds the strategic, long-term, annual, and quarterly targeted growth projections for our sales team,
  • Constantly define and redefine their area of responsibility and market situation,
  • Constantly review plans to ensure their relevance, changing them when advisable,
  • Attends trade shows, conferences, and other events establishing a presence in target vertical communities to identify new account opportunities,
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the marketplace (competitor information, consumer understanding, current/future market penetration, etc.) and staying constantly up-to-date on industry trends and the newest products.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience managing business development / partner teams,
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with product, technical and sales teams,
  • Proven ability to negotiate mutually beneficial partnership agreements,
  • Ability to clearly articulate dollar impact on business in previous roles,
  • Experience using CRM and sales process, report on the status of accounts and transactions.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus,
  • Previous experience in finance or credit card processing industries will help you be successful, but not required,
  • Previous experience in the integrated payments space will help you be successful but not required,
  • Up to 30% of travel may be necessary.
