In order to advance our mission to – “Enable Personalized Care for Every Cancer Patient,” we are seeking candidates for the following role:
Job Summary
We are looking for a talented, experienced, Business Development professional with experience selling technology, services and solutions to pharmaceutical companies manufacturing Oncology agents. Reporting to the VP of Pharmaceutical Solutions, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for building our East-Coast and Mid-West business by selling our targeted Patient Education and data products. This person must be able to translate customer feedback in to actionable solutions that support external client needs and internal sales quotas. The Director of Business Development must have high energy, be self-driven with a sense of urgency. The desire and ability to work effectively and independently in a startup environment is a must. This position is full time and field/home-based position. Our office is in downtown Seattle, and we offer competitive salaries and benefits. 
 
Responsibilities and Duties
• Develop and build a business plan to meet financial targets from target customer base.
• Research and understand customer objectives and strategically sell services to meet their needs.
• Leverage existing and build new relationships with all levels of bio-pharma companies, from C-level to functional marketing. Identify key influencers and decision makers to build service lines and sell products and services.
• Establish competitive product knowledge base and use that knowledge to best position Navigating Cancer solutions.
• Develop strong understanding of accounts’ business plans and brand plans; ultimately, selling solutions to support their needs.
• Gather customer and market feedback to identify trends, issues and opportunities to sell and enhance Navigating Cancer's products & services
Qualifications and Skills
• 5+ years of business development experience selling technology enabled, data-driven solutions to pharmaceutical manufacturers with clear demonstration of past success in meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
• A strong understanding of the Oncology marketplace, including companies, drugs and pipelines.
• Familiarity with healthcare IT trends, RWE data and the impact they have on clients’ clinical and commercial decision making.
• Creative mindset to continually try new tactics and strategies to grow business.
• Passion for the mission of Navigating Cancer and a strong desire to impact an up-and-coming healthcare technology start-up.
• Outstanding organizational, written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of Salesforce, Powerpoint, Excel and Word.
• BA/BS degree or higher.
