Director, Sales Lead Generation
What this role is about
A revenue-enabling member of the sales team, the Director, Sales Lead Generation supports our Premium domain name sales team to globally market the largest portfolio of top level domains (TLDs) and accelerate the sales process by delivering qualified leads to our direct sales team. The successful candidate in this role must be creative, and capable of envisioning the many ways to message, market and promote our products in order to drive awareness and purchase intent. They should be data-driven, effective at working with a business analytics team to co-develop target market lists, gather insights about our buyers and report on campaign results. Lastly, the person in this role must be action-oriented, and be able to develop a scalable campaign cadence that can significantly increase the leads for a growing sales team. The person in this role must enjoy working in lock-step with a direct sales team and be excited about the vital role they will play in growing sales revenue.
We are seeking a candidate who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Reporting to the SVP, Sales the Director, Sales Lead Generation will help define the target verticals and devise sales outreach and marketing campaigns to target those verticals. This includes working closely with our Marketing team to develop the creative and copy for campaigns and sales materials, executing each campaign, and communicating in real time with the sales team to ensure fast follow-up and closed-loop feedback to help ensure campaign success.

What you’ll do if chosen for this role
· Work closely with marketing, sales and product leadership, along with our business analytics team to define a target set of customers to market and sell
· Develop target lists of potential customers (both existing and new) for Donuts’ vast set of products
· Create campaigns using various channels to reach our target audiences where they “live” (i.e. spend time on and off-line)
· Work closely with the Donuts Marketing team to develop campaigns that are “on-message” and “on-brand”
· Communicate and educate the sales team on marketing campaign goals (as well as key sales messaging and other pipeline management tactics) to ensure all are clear on campaign goals, success metrics and campaign tactics and key messages
· Develop sales enablement tools and content to help support sales efforts at tradeshow events and online sales outreach
· Provide consistent reporting across the organization and to members of the Executive Team on sales pipelines and campaign performance
· Work with marketing and sales teams to “operationalize” campaigns and scale them over time via marketing and sales automation platforms
· The right candidate may have an opportunity to manage the direct sales team
What we’d like to see in your experience
· A minimum of 3 years professional experience in a Campaign Manager / Demand Generation role
· Prior experience directly managing a sales team is a big plus
· Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver large-scale, measurable and successful marketing campaigns
· Multiple examples of collaborating with sales, product and/or marketing teams to develop target audiences and multi-channel or multi-touch campaigns
· Examples of tracking and measuring the CPL, ROI, and the quality of leads by source and by campaign
· Experience managing sales pipelines and building interesting programs to help incent sales efforts
· Strong communication skills, especially written, with a high attention to detail
· A solid understanding of MS Excel and MS Powerpoint and/or Google Sheets and Google Slides
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects or campaigns simultaneously
· Experience with multiple lead generation types such as search, online ads, print, email, 3rd party publications, webinar, events, associations, etc.
· Salesforce.com and/or HubSpot experience using Campaigns, Web-to-Lead, and Importing
· A basic-level understanding a marketing automation platform like Marketo, Eloqua and/or Pardot
· A basic-level understanding of HTML and JAVA
Education requirement
· BA/BS degree in business, communications, marketing or a related field
