Job Summary

The Director, Strategic Accounts is responsible for managing the implementation of strategic key initiatives with high profile accounts within the company. In this role, the Director, Strategic Accounts will be the primary point of contact for all key deliverables for the strategic accounts and will be the primary driver externally and internally to make sure all deliverables are executed on while looking for additional opportunities to collaborate. The Director, Strategic Accounts is responsible for allocating resources and maintaining the master project schedule for execution of all deliverables. The success of the Strategic Account Director relies strongly on their ability to communicate, establish clear expectations with both internal and external stakeholders involved in the project and manage to those expectations — resulting in successful projects and high customer and business satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage and maintain strategic project plan for successful implementation of projects, with a high degree of attention to detail and a strong understanding of the strategic needs of the accounts
  • Understand customer needs and develop additional strategies to further the strategic relationship and then implement those strategies
  • Determine order of priority for customer implementation of project plan based on both internal and external business requirements
  • Manage projects to meet revenue targets with key accounts by providing accurate & timely forecasts of all projects and by collaborating with internal team members to drive delivery schedules
  • Exercise supportive influence over the customer to drive project according to the agreed-to timeline from the project plan without sacrificing quality of implementation
  • Maintain and communicate project status and provide updates as required from the business both internally and externally
  • Recommend process improvement of NC products and services that increase project delivery and efficiency to improve customer satisfaction/loyalty
  • Maintain understanding of market/sales advantages of NC products and services as compared to competitors as well as the overall healthcare market
  • Customer-facing role: should be comfortable owning external relationships, developing strategies to further relationship, communicating additional ideas for collaboration, and delivering effective presentations and project plans to drive deeper partnership and build confidence in execution of established deliverables.

Relevant Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and balance competing demands
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Enjoys flexing analytical, planning, and organizational skills and building out project timelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in remote and in-person settings
  • Experience interacting with both business and technical stakeholders, including the executive level
  • Working knowledge of the following tools: MS Office Suite, JIRA, Salesforce
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish objectives with and through others without direct control
  • Proven record of meeting project plan and business target objectives
  • Knowledge of oncology practice management, pharmaceutical needs, and healthcare data preferred
